Nyah Has an Abridged Series is an adult slice-of-life abridged parody series produced by NeonWabbit's Studio RGB-Newt and distributed by The Fishal Project. The series is based on the main Nyah Has an Adventure series episodes, but also has its own plot. Nyah Has an Abridged Series contains writing that was considered too risque for the main series, as well as a large amount of nonsense and meta behind-the-scenes commentary on how some shots in the main series were made. The series is still in the pre-production and writing phase of the animation process, with the exception of a handful of gags which have already been storyboarded, have produced animatics or have been animated completely.

Abridged episodes will range from 5 to 10 minutes, halving the run-time of the main series' episodes, and lead characters Nyah, Lone, Arph and Skye are to be re-animated on top of the original backgrounds in a more chibi-like look, while every other character remains the same. Nyah will also be able to speak English in the abridged series.

Following the conclusion of both the main series and the abridged series, production on the feature-length Nyah Has a Movie will begin. Nyah Has a Movie is currently not planned to have an abridged version.

Premise

When Nyah is constantly hit by multiple arrows, she says she has no time to die because there are 52 episodes remaining. Upon discovering Nyah, humans start screaming and running away from her, before coming back and declaring that they're "not racist".

At the government's citizenship test facility for adapting creatures to human society, Nyah is shipped with Lone, Arph and Skye by the humans. The group of four creatures decide they've had enough of the humans' shit, and after pointing out that human law doesn't apply to them, start their adventure through the world.

Production

Origin

Darien Brice Dickinson was inspired to start working on an "official" abridged version of the main Nyah animated series, after seeing similar productions such as the parody series "The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya", the English dub of Ghost Stories, JelloApocalypse's Hamtaro: Abridged and Sherclop Pones' Friendship is Witchcraft.
